New York-based attorney Lisa M. Nousek focuses on commercial litigation in her work with Boise, Schiller & Flexner. Engaged in her field, Lisa M. Nousek maintains active membership with the New York State Bar Association.

As part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to educating aspiring lawyers, the New York State Bar Association cosponsors mock trial events for New York high school students. These tournaments are designed to help students gain experience in courtrooms while developing their sense of ethics and understanding of the law.

In mock trial tournaments, high school teams assume the roles of lawyers and witnesses. They argue both sides and are judged on their performance in court as well as their preparation and overall professionalism.

Outside of tournament competitions, students can apply to attend the New York State Mock Trial Summer Institute. At the week-long summer program, students are grouped into teams and led through each aspect of a mock trial. They practice newfound skills all week, and end the camp with a mock trial before a judge.
